This is an elegant oyster plate which was made for Higgins & Seiter of NYC. It is in excellent condition, with no chips, cracks, repairs, hairlines, etc. The gold is fabulous, with scant, if any, loss. The photos don't do it justice. This would mix and match beautifully with any oyster plate collection. It dates to either the late 19th or very early 20th century. Its diameter is just under 9 inches.
