Shabby Chic Reticulated Porcelain Compote
Vintage Reticulated Porcelain Compote. This is a fine porcelain compote on a pedestal base featuring a beautiful shabby chic floral design on a white background with an inside band in deep reddish purple. The reticulated border gives a lacy appearance to the bowl. There is brushed gilt on the inside top of the border to further enhance the beauty. The bottom of the pedestal base also carries a band of deep reddish purple. This compote measures 4-1/2” tall with an 8” wide bowl.
Marked Japan on the bottom, this lovely comport is in excellent condition. There is a metal "screw" object indicating that this piece was possibly the top of perhaps a centerpiece. Comport does stand solid on its base.

Cherry China Shabby Chick Chintz Ashtray Dish. A beautiful shabby chic chintz ashtray or dish made by Cherry China Japan. Candy dish has large red roses and green flowers over white china decorated with silver leaves. Plate has a nice scalloped shape to it done up with gold trim. Measures 6 ¼ inches long by 5 inches across and is marked "Cherry China, Made in Japan, with a flower mark above it". Item does have a repair (see picture) and some gold is worn from age and probable use.
