EKCO Steel Can Bottle & Cork Screw Opener
Vintage Metal Can Bottle and Cork Screw Opener by EKCO. Return to the 1940 – 1950 era when opening a can or a bottle cap took a manual effort. As of yet the electric can openers and pop-open bottle caps were not in existence. Therefore, this method was the only way to go, which left jarred edges on the can lids and a strong pull upwards to get the bottle cap off. This opener also has a cork screw for opening bottles with a cork stopper. It is inscribed with “Tool Steel Tampered” and EKCO. This is a 5-1/2” long opener and in good condition for its age and use.

Vaughn Chicago Spoon with Bottle Opener. This unusual sterling silver long handled spoon has a bottle opener at one end and was made by Vaughn, Chicago. The inside bowl of the spoon is designed with a stem of cherries and the inscription of “Made in U.S.A.” Spoon opener has a filigree design on the front and back of the handle and is marked on the back with “Vaughn – Chicago”. Spoon measures 7-3/4” long and is in good condition for its age and use.
