Large Oriental Nude Chalk Statue 1940's w/ original box This fairly large chalk statue measures 21 1/2 inches tall and is in excellent condition. The history I have is that she was purchase by a merchant marine sailor shortly after the war in Japan. Americanized hair style typical of the times. There are no markings on the statue. She looks heavy but is actually pretty light. About 3 1/2 pounds. No chips or other damage. She also comes in her original box with the straw style shredded paper packing. Very modest pose is always my preference.

Hand Carved Wood Figure Africa Ghana? This hand carved figure has an elongated, mask-like face with ridged yellow lines. I believe it was carved in Ghana. The wood has a very dark stain, and the protruding eyes and mouth give this piece a lot of character. It is in great condition. 17 1/2" tall, 4" wide, 2" thick (at base).
