Early Mezzotint Print Signed E Stodart Stamped
An early Mezzotint that is signed on the lower right corner by E Stodart, I am unable to read the first name. The label on the back reads, Fresh Gathered peas,Young Hastings, for the title, after F. Wheatley R.A., pure mezzotint by E Stodart R.A. An interesting smaller piece measures about 6 inches by 8 inches including the frame. It looks like just a little browning on the part of the print mat, it's stamped on the lower left with JS. Depicts a maid gathering peas from two men who are on the back of a horse drawn cart. Nicely framed in an ebony and gold trim frame. Apparently around 1918. I have been doing a little more in-depth research on these mezzotints and I believe that the artist is Edward Jackson Stodart. His father, Edward William Stodart(England, 1841 - 1914), was a noted artist who did a good many fine stipple engravings. The date would correspond to the time of his son, Edward Jackson. I was able to locate an image on the net that was quite similar to these in style.
We do not charge handling fees, actual shipping only.

Alex Rudinsky Modern Art Painting Abstract
Signed on the lower right and dated, 1986. This is a work by Alex Rudinsky, I'm sorry I don't know much about the artist. I believe that he is a local (Oregon) artist but was unable to find much about him. The work itself measures 17 by 20 1/2 inches and is nicely framed with inset mat and simulated bamboo frame, the total size is 21 3/4 by 25 3/4 inches. Very nice work.
On this item, we will charge a $25 handling fee for packaging for mailing.

Mitchel Wagman Original Art, Dreamscape, Oil Painting
Mitchel G. Wagman, Dreamscape, from 1965 as stated on the back. Oil on board. Signed on the front, lower left. Including the frame, the piece measures 25 1/2 inches by 11 1/2 inches. This was apparently a gallery piece at one time, my clue is the sticker on the back that was once on the front. Looks like it was originally offered at $200. This came from a Portland, Oregon local estate, the frame studio sticker on the back indicates Philadelphia. An unusual piece, very surreal.
The following piece from the Philadelphia Inquirer, August 22, 2002.
Mitchel G. Wagman | Artist, 79
Mitchel G. Wagman, 79, a noted abstract expressionist of the 1950s and '60s who owned several Rittenhouse Square art galleries, died Monday of a stroke at San Diego Hospice in San Diego.
He had been a resident of La Jolla, Calif.
Mr. Wagman, whose paintings and sculptures have been exhibited in galleries and museums throughout the United States, played an active role in the Center City art world for 25 years. In addition to creating art, he taught it and sold it, including at his Philadelphia Gallery on 18th Street. He was a founding member of Group 55, a coalition of visual and performing artists.
Mr. Wagman, who grew up in New York City, studied art in Paris after serving in the Army during World War II. He came to Philadelphia in the mid-1950s. He moved to California after retiring in 1982.
Mr. Wagman was an active supporter of Israel. His other interests included playing tennis and reading.
He is survived by daughters Michele Sokoloff and Andrea Wagman-Christian; a sister; and four grandchildren. His former wife, Laurie, from whom he had been divorced for many years, also survives.
Services will be held at 12:30 p.m. today at Goldsteins' Rosenberg's Raphael-Sacks, 310 Second Street Pike, Southampton. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Trevose.

Original Art Oil on Board M Pratt
I'm afraid that I don't know about this artist, came from a local estate along with a lot of other art pieces. It's an original oil on board, a fairly recent piece and signed M. Pratt. I found a reference in some paperwork in the estate that the title is, Market Place. There was only one mention, so no provenance. The entire piece including the frame measures 19 inches by 23 inches. Not a bad piece of art.
We will need to charge a $25 handling fee on this piece for packaging in order to see that it gets where it is going.

Balinese Detailed Wooden Piece Work Clock Tower
This Balinese wooden clock tower is extraordinary. The piece work is very detailed and delicate. I do not the history of the piece or the age. The condition is good but, there is a point missing on the steeple, one of the windows is broken and the tower section is a little lose. These things do not take away from the piece. The dimensions are, 14 inches tall with the base 5 1/2 x 7 inches. The tower is very light.

Framed Painted Print On Copper Of A 49er With Burros
This is a painted print on copper of a 49er with his burros. It is a signed piece. I can barley make out the last name which maybe Rodriquez? The piece has a nice illustrative quality to it. The tree looks as if it is alive and orchestrating the panning for gold. The quality is good. It could use a new frame and some conservation. The dimensions are 9 ¼ x 11 ¼ inches.
