Bauer & Black No.8 Large First Aid Cabinet
Produced by Bauer and Black, this is a large first aid cabinet designed to hang on a wall. This is Kit or cabinet number 8. The cabinet measures 18 inches by 15 inches by 4 1/4 inches deep. Many of the original contents are still inside. It opens and the door hangs on small chains for a working surface. The cabinet itself is in good condition with minor use wear. Inside a label lists the original contents and the current contents are; Original first aid book published 1927, scissors, tweezers, 2-one inch guaze bandages, 2-2 inch muslin bandages- one with the original cover, 2 boxes of iodine swabs in original package(missing one from one of the boxes), 2-plain guaze (one is opened), box with tourniquet, 2 finger bandages (Loose), 3 muslin finger cot in the package, one 2 ounce castor oil (unopened), 1 graduated medicine glass (original box), 1 burn dressing packet, 1-2inch gauze bandage, 1-2 ounce bottle ammonia spirits (seal broken, contents gone), 1 triangular bandage original box, packet of wooden applicators (inside is 2 packets of 6 each), 1 packet of wooden tongue depressors (individually wrapped). Also 2 wooden splints that are not pictured because I just found them. I thought it pretty unusual to find this as well stocked for this old.
