Great fun photograph of Frank Sinclair ready to take off from Floyd Bennet Airport in a Seversky Monoplane in an attempt to break the transcontinental speed record set by Howard Hughes. He came in fourth. Large stamp on the back from International news photos, date stamp of Sep. 6, 1937, with lower section has paste on blurb from the service. Just a little history in aviation.
