Fabulous and large brooch probably from the 40s signed MM Sterling Taxco with 8 bezel set 6.5mm cabochom amethysts on each of the points, and 1 really large and lovely 13mm cabochon amethyst in the center, with a rope surround in the sterling. The brooch needs to be seen to be appreciated. It is 2 5/8 inches across.There is a Beautiful Design on the Brooch very reminiscent of Spratling.
