This vintage MURRAY ALLEN TIN has the most beautiful bird and flower design! This Decorative Collectible TIN has, printed on the bottom "MURRAY - ALLEN, Imported Quality Confections, MURRAY- ALLEN IMPORTS, NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. U.S.A., AND MURRAY - ALLEN IMPORTS LIMITED, MONTREAL, CANANDA, CONTAINER MADE IN ENGLAND, TROPIC." I believe "TROPIC" refers to the decoration with the beautiful birds. This has a round shape with a lift off lid. This tin has a design that wraps all the way around. The design is rich in color with light blue and gold being dominant background colors and the design having multiple colors! There are beautiful birds on two sides and floral bouquets on two sides. This tin has wear here and there: Knob has wear and discoloration. The inside is CLEAN. This decorative collectible tin measures 4-3/4" across the lid and 6-3/8" tall. This could be used as a trinket tin, coin tin, candy tin, etc. It originally had a handle but, it has gone missing. There rust marks and scratches on the bottom (see pictures) |
