Circa: 70s Condition: used good Size: 11 by 8 by 4 inches Type: CANCO metal tin box with hinged lid Country of Origin: United States Manufacturer: Canco
This is a very nice lidded tin made by Canco. I believe that the scene on the lid is of the landing of the Mayflower. The Mayflower was the ship that transported the English Separatists, better known as the Pilgrims, from Plymouth, England, to Plymouth, Massachusetts, United States (which would become the capital of Plymouth Colony), in 1620.[1] There were 102 passengers and a crew of 25–30.The tin does not have any dents, but unfortunatly there are some scratches on the lid. On the bottom it say's 'Canco', as you can see from the picture there is a scene on the front, and underneath that it say's 1620. |
