Golden Press, 1954. Slick hardcover illustrated boards that are only barely rubbed; celophane laminate has minor lifting around the outer edges in a couple of spots. Original cover price stamped on front cover. No pencil or pen markings. Tight binding. Excellent condition.

Early Americana Metal Candle Mold Metal candle mold. There are 6 tubes to make 6 candles at a time. Measures 10 ½ inches tall, 3 inches wide, 2 inches deep. It is old, and has been used, and therefore has some damage around the edges, and some very minor rusting. But it will still make a batch of candles, or will look great around the fireplace as a decoration!

Vintage Bakelite Marblelike Dominoes in Original Box - Complete Set This is a very nice set of vintage Bakelite dominoes in their original box. Complete set of 28 tiles. This is a standard set of dominoes in ivory and black Bakelite. Made by the Puremco Manufacturing Company in Waco Texas. They are in perfect shape with no chips or damage. The box is also in excellent shape with no rips or tears.

Deco Style ASR Vintage Table Cigarette Lighter Nice vintage cigarette table lighter in jadite green. The bottom of the lighter is stamped ASR Made in the USA. The lighter insert is stamped on one side with: A.S.R. Corp, 315 Jay Street, Brooklyn NY, Patent D-146973. The other side is stamped: PAT RE. 23,207 and MADE IN USA. Top and bottom of lighter case appear to be brass. The jade green case appears to be made of a plastic type material. Lighter measures 2 5/8 inches tall, 1 7/8 inches wide, and 1 1/4 inches deep. The lighter insert can be removed from the case to fill with fluid. The lighter opens easily.
It is in excellent vintage condition. There is some minor wear to the brass. The plastic is in very nice condition with no chips or cracks.

Norge Plastic 6 Inch Calendar Ruler - 1946 - Advertising Cute little flexible plastic ruler advertising Norge products: Rollator refrigerators, Ro-Ta-Tor Washers, Gas Ranges, Electric Ranges, Home Heaters. Better Products for Better Living. This ruler also has a calendar for 1946 on the back. Ruler has measurements for 6 inches; actual size is 6 1/4 x 1 inch. No damage.

1940’s Mickey Mouse Silver Plate Child’s Souvenir Spoon Cute Mickey Mouse child’s spoon. Measures 5 ½ inches long. The front has a picture of Mickey Mouse on it, and the letters MICKEY MOUSE go down the handle. Marked on the back: Branford Silverplate. This spoon has seen some use over the years, and has wear to the bowl with much patina and is priced accordingly.

Vintage Hammered Metal Ice Cube Tongs Vintage metal ice cube tong. Hammered steel, probably nickel plated. Each side of the tongs has a talon or claw like end that will grab the ice cube. Measures 6 1/2 inches long. Good condition with some wear.

Daytonian - Dayton's Department Store Autumn Catalog - Minneapolis Minn 1927-28 Hard to find Daytonian, the DeLuxe edition of a 23 page catalog published by The Dayton Company, downtown Minneapolis, MN. The date on this is Fall and Winter, 1927-28. The Dayton's Store was sold a while ago and is no longer in existence. This catalog has lots of information. The first page has a list of coming events in Minneapolis: the Chicago Civic Opera Company, Minneapolis Symphony Orchestra, Theatre Guild plays, the Movies, Institute of Arts, winter sports, The Walker Art Gallery, the University of Minnesota games, and Apollo Club Concerts. The rest of the catalog is dedicated to fashion: Women's coats, Smart Miss choices, Fall lines, popular furs, Sub-Deb fashions, fashions for school, footwear, gloves, hats, scarves, and much more!! There is an article about Paris clothing designers, photographs of rooms from several Minneapolis area homes. Deco cover, art work by Helen Hoffman. Catalog is entirely black and white, and measures 9 x 12 inches. A great resource for the fashion historian, or for those who collect Dayton's memorabilia. There is some wear: cover is a bit dirty, and has a few rips and creases, but all pages are intact and no information is missing.

Victorian Gold Filled Walking Stick - Dated 1888 Very nice Victorian walking stick with a fancy gold fill handle. This one is engraved "H. R. Lamoreaux From His Employees Dec. 25, 1888."

We were able to find out the following information about him, which came from History of Hennepin County and The City of Minneapolis, 1881. North Star Publishing, Page 579:

LAMOREAUX, H. R. was born at Arcadia, New York, July 28d, 1842. In 1862, he engaged in the canal business, owning, and having in charge a boat between Buffalo and New York, until 1875, when he came to this city (Note: Minneapolis) engaging in lumbering about three years. In October, 1880, he rented and furnished his present billiard hall at 223 First Avenue south. He married Mary Smith, of New York, March 3d, 1863. They have two children, Louis and Mary.

Stick measures 34 1/4 inches long. Some wear to the gold fill handle, probably from use over the years. The wood shaft has some wear to it. The top part is in excellent shape, but the bottom has a few dents and knicks, and the color has worn off in some areas. The metal tip at the bottom does not have a rubber protector, but I do not know if it should have one. Great piece of Victorian memorabilia.

Sawyer Black Bakelite View-Master Viewmaster Viewer This is a vintage Sawyer View Master viewer in black bakelite. Marked with US Patent # 2,189,285 which dates it to the 1940s. Viewer measures 4 1/4 inches across, 3 1/2 inches tall, 2 7/8 inches deep. Excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Still works. Made in Portland, Oregon. This one has a label from Jeffcoat Studio, Everything Photographic, 321 North Broadway, Abilene, Kansas. The Studio is now a museum in the same location.

KOOLS Cigarette Advertising Ashtray with Penguins Neat ashtray advertising KOOLS cigarettes. The ashtray is in white milk glass with green lettering around the rim: Smoke KOOLS for that clean KOOL taste. The KOOLS penguins in various poses are also around the rim. There are 2 indents for cigarettes. Measures 5 1/4 inches across, 7/8 inches tall. A couple of white marks on the bottom but I think they are in the glass. No chips or cracks.

Describes the life of a Army nurse. 239 pages, several black and white photographs. Hard cover in near perfect shape with slight fading on spine; no dust jacket. Stain on inside front cover along spine. No torn pages.

Vintage Superla Birthday Candles – WWII War Bonds Stamp Nice box of vintage Superla yellow birthday candles made by the Standard Oil Company. Advertised as Producers of Quality Candles for over 40 years. Box of 12, some have been lightly used. This box has the World War II Victory war bonds stamp in the lower back corner, stamped For Victory Buy United States Bonds and Stamps.

Cigarette Case - Brass with Bakelite Lid Unusual cigarette case. This one has a Green marble Bakelite lid with jadite colored bits of polished stone in the middle. There is a sliding insert to accommodate shorter cigarettes and a box of matches, or just the longer cigarettes. Measures 4 1/4 inches long, 2 1/8 inches wide, 7/8 inch deep. Brass has a wonderfully warmed patina.

Ornamental Metal Work Home Study Booklet Dated 1931 This booklet was designed to study ornamental metal work at home. Dated 1931, Copyright Great Britain, printed in USA. This is the first booklet in a series. Some of the areas of study include: definitions, types of metals and processes used. Many diagrams are provided, and there are many photographs of finished ornamental metal work projects of all kinds. The last page is an Examination to be completed and mailed in for grading. Some of the pages have discolored over the years, but it is complete with no ripped or torn pages.
