Very pretty Victorian era pickle castor in an ornate silver plate frame. The glass insert is etched with a leaf design, and nestled inside all the foliage is a bird! Measures apx 11 inches tall. Silverplate holder is marked 222, Quadruple plate, manufactured by Simpson, H.M & Co. Fork is marked Community Plate. It has a lovely patina and we did not try to polish it up. There is no damage to the metal; no chips or cracks on the insert. |
