Beautiful Victorian oil lamp. This one is in white milk glass. There is a basket of flowers on the front of the bottom and shade, both with a big bow, hand painted with gold paint. Measures 8 3/4 inches tall to the top of the chimney, apx 4 inches wide. The collar easily turns in the threading on the base. The burner appears to be original with no teeth missing, and the chimney fits nice and snug in it. The knob that turns the wick is a bit stiff but still works; this may not be the original wick. There is a bit of gold paint missing on the back of the shade, and the bottom has a bit of paint missing on the back and front, probaby from handling over the years. The shade is rough around the bottom and top edge, but there are no major chips or cracks. There are no chips or cracks on the bottom. We have not replaced any parts: condition is as found when purchased from a private party. |
