Beautiful Victorian beverage set from the late 1800's. This set consists of a pitcher and 6 tumblers. The pitcher has a scroll and feather design around the top rim has been hand painted with blue. The feet are also done in blue to accent the scroll and feather decoration. The tumblers match the scroll and leaf decoration around the bottom. Each piece also has been hand apinted with pink roses and blue leaves. Since they are all hand painted, there will be some differences between each piece. The pitcher sits on 4 feet and measures 7 3/4 inches tall, 7 1/2 inches from spout to end of handle, 5 1/4 inches wide. The tumblers are 4 inches tall and hold 8 ounces. At one time each piece had been detailed in gold paint. Over time it has worn away but much of it still remains. The pitcher has two paint drip marks by the spout. No chips or cracks. No hairlines. Nice crisp detail in the scroll and feather patterns. Unknown manufacturer. |
