This is a delightful pair of bookends featuring a cherub holding a butterfly on his finger. He is kneeling on the ground amid ferns and cattails and is holding a book in his other hand. He is accompanied by a tiny frog as well. The background is in the shape of a book. The gray metal bookends have a darkened bronze colored finish which shows typical wear, and they measure 6.25" high x 4" wide x 2" deep. They date from 1924, and still retain the original felt.
