1949 Mother Goose This full color pictorial Mother Goose was published by Random House (New York) in 1949 and features very unusual illustrations. Clay figures were fashioned and then photographed--the title page states "Art work and Claytoons directed by Maxwell Dorne and Bill Sass" with "Color photography by Maxwell Dorne." Sixty-nine numbered pages with lots of rhymes and lots of these very unusual color illustrations. Hardbound color cover encased in laminate. The laminate is peeling, giving the cover a washed out appearance, but the inside text and photographs are crisp and clean with no tears or writing.
