This little embossed cloth hard bound volume bears no publication date but is inscribed on the inside cover: "A.J. Millards's Book Bot[sic] June 20, 1850 Price $ [illegible]" followed by "Carl R. Smith Conneaut Ohio 1930 Mr. Carl R Smith Given to me by Mother." Its full title is "Anecdotes for the Family and the Social Circle Selected for the American Tract Society" and it was published by the American Tract Society, 150 Nassau Street, New York. Its 408 pages are badly foxed but still quite readable. Corners are worn as are the top and bottom of the spine but there are no missing or torn pages.
