Vintage Frost and Adams Handpainted Plate During the 1800s, Frost and Adams Importers of Boston, MA. carried a full line of artist's materials for china decoration. This lovely handpainted plate circa 1886 measures 10" in diameter and features a lady holding a golden covered dish. (It reminds me of a Grecian picture.) There is about 1-1/2" of gold decoration with a flower design around the edge and rim. The backside is marked Frost and Adams, Boston, 10, gold initials NGS. The gold rim is worn and there are two small chips on the backside, original wire to hang picture still attached.
