Bovano of Cheshire, CT. (USA) has been creating their beautiful gifts and accessories for more than 40 years. This unique art by skilled American craftsmen, place different colors of finely ground glass on copper, then apply intense heating in a kiln to fuse the glass over the copper. This set includes a lovely walnut box with a strawberry design enamel top which measures approximately 4-3/4" x 3-3/4" and is in Mint condition. Also, it includes a matching plate which measures 5" in diameter. The plate does have a tiny area of enamel loss, but there are no stress marks. I obtained this set in 1980 and the original sticker is attached to bottom.
