Carlo Ginori began producing porcelain china at his estate at Doccia in 1735 and after five generations, the family merged with the Milanese company Richard in 1896. Still located in the Tuscany region of Italy, this fine porcelain china is one of the oldest in Europe. The pattern, Primavera, is a white porcelain trimmed with a gold border featuring lovely handpainted delicate floral designs in pastel shades of pink, yellow, blue and green. This large round centerpiece or serving bowl measures 10-1/2" diameter, stands 3-3/4" high and displays all the flower designs from cups and plates. These pieces were purchased in 1976 and never used - many are still in original plastic bags from Ginori. Marked - Richard Ginori Italy Finest in china since 1735 - MINT
