This Copenhagen (Denmark) hand-painted porcelain vase features a lovely blue morning glory flower with blue and beige highlights, and soft green leaves. The vase measures 5.75" high x approximately 3" in diameter at the widest part. The graceful oval shaped vase is a pure cream white at the top and becomes blue at the base. I always assumed this was a Royal Copenhagen piece, but base is stamped with green crown - Denmark - Copenhagen in a circle with initials JLP (?) in center -Handpainted, made in Denmark #101-1/50 and the initial G under glaze. I have come to find out this was produced by The Porcelain Manufactory "Denmark" located in Lyngby, just north of Copenhagen. (The factory was closed in 1969) No chips or cracks - A wonderful addition to a collection - MINT.
