This vintage handsome handpainted elephant is from Royal Copenhagen (Denmark). The elephant is painted in shades of grey with white tusks and bluish eyes, measures 4-1/2" x 4-1/2". It was designed by artist Knud Kyhn and is marked underneath with his initials KK. In green on the base: Denmark~ 2998 and 3 blue waves. (#2998 is also impressed on base of right front foot)and initial S(painter)(impressed on left front foot). I obtained this elephant figurine in 1981. No chips,cracks, or repairs...MINT
