In 1980 the eighth plate in the limited edition Lenox (USA) Christmas Tree Commemorative Plate Series (1976-1983) was produced featuring the Brewer's Spruce. This tree is cone-shaped and is charachterized by long, pendulous branches and a slender pointed crown...one of the most beautiful as it grows to 5,000 to 7,000 feet. The unique plate series features different species of trees which were handcrafted on 10-3/4" diameter Lenox china plates. Each plate has the traditional Lenox ivory background and is lavishly trimmed with a band of intricate 24K gold holly design and band of gold on the edge. In MINT condition, this plate has never been displayed and comes from Lenox in original box.(Note: box has minor damage to top)
