Carlo Ginori began producing porcelain china at his estate at Doccia in 1735 and after five generations, the family merged with the Milanese company Richard in 1896. Still located in the Tuscany region of Italy, this fine porcelain china is one of the oldest in Europe. This rare Siena Rust #01502 miniature plate measures just 3-1/2" diameter, features a design of rust/gold chickens and a gold accent trim on scalloped edges. The backside reads: "Compliments Richard-Ginori Italy Finest in China since 1735 Pasmentier Co. uno". The plate was given to giftware buyers in their New York showroom in 1980 and comes in Richard Ginori box...MINT |
