This is a vintage Doulton Burslem English serving plate. It is a white bone china, measures 9-3/4" x 9", and features a molded design and scrolls on the handles are decorated in 22 karat gold as well as the scalloped edge trim. The backstamp is green, marked Doulton – Burslem – England and features the coronet at the top which marked the appointment of Henry Doulton as potter to HRH The Prince of Wales in 1891. There is very minor gold wear to the plate and no scratches, chips, cracks or repaired damage as it would appear the plate was rarely used. Excellent to mint condition…. This serving plate would be a lovely addition to any china set. |
