Vintage Remington Great Game of the World Illustrations by Bob Kuhn
Beautiful vintage set of 12 lithographs of African, Asian and North American game from the Remington Game Art Collection by the great outdoor artist Bob Kuhn. The set, Remington’s Portfolio of Great Game of the World was probably published back in the 1970s and comes in the original envelope and portfolio folder. They are made of heavy grade textured paper, have never been displayed and found in a storage drawer. Each measures 12.5" x 16.5"
The prints include: Lion/Interrupted Dinner, Alaskan Moose/Across the Tundra, Leopard/Out on a Limb, Jaguar/A Holding Action, Grizzly Bear/Chancy Encounter, African Elephant/About to Charge, Marco Polo Sheep/Sheep of Shangri La, Wood Bison/The Wolves Close In, Polar Bear/King of the North, Sable Antelope/Courting Challenge, African Cape Buffalo/Turning the Tables, Tiger/Stalking in Reverse. Each print is marked at bottom: From the Game Art Collection of Remington Arms Co., Inc.
The envelope is torn at edges and portfolio is in very good condition. Prints are in excellent, unused condition, no tears, stains or fading –beautiful colors and have been laying flat in a drawer….a perfect gift for that outdoorsman in your life.
