HIGGINS MID CENTURY MODERN ART GLASS PLATTER -
This Large Mid-Century Modern Art Glass Platter was made by the designers Frances and Michael Higgins between 1957 and 1964. It was made by fusing layers of glass together and features various patterns on a blue ground. It is about 12-3/8 inches in diameter with no cracks. It does have a small chip on the back edge (see photo) that does not show from the front. It is signed in script between the layers of glass and reads “higgins” and has the overall air bubbles found in this type of fused art glass.
