VINTAGE B&O RAILROAD CHINA CENTENARY BUTTER PAT -
This CENTERNARY pattern china was issued for the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad by the Shenango China Company to celebrate the 100th anniversary of the railroad in 1927. See photo of blue domed back stamp. It is about 3-1/2 inches in diameter with no chips or cracks. It features a blue decorated scene on the front of a horse pulling a rail car and reads HORSE DRAWN CAR 1830. This vintage Western Theme Collector’s Café China Plate features a silhouette of a Long Horn Steer over a campfire in the Econo-Rim shape and pattern called OX HEAD - RUST. WESTERN WARE GRILL STYLE PLATE MADE IN JAPAN -
This lighter weight Western Theme Collector’s Ceramic Divided Plate features Cowboys roping steers. It was made in and stamped on the bottom JAPAN by an unknown manufacturer. It is about 11 ½ inches in diameter with no chips or cracks but does have overall glaze crazing. In the photos there appears to be wear on some of the branding iron marks but there isn’t as the transferware is under the glaze and that is the way it was made in the factory. There are also some under glaze nicks on the foot that is original to the piece. SHENANGO CHINA RESTAURANT PLATE WORLD RECORD SALMON -
This Cafe Plate features an overglaze multi-color print of a fish and was a souvenir of Hot Springs, Arkansas (stamped on front in gold script lettering). It reads LANDLOCK SALMON WORLD RECORD CATCH AUG. 1, 1907 SEBAGO LAKE, MAINE WEIGHT – 22 lbs 8oz LENGTH – 36 in ANGLER – EDW. BLAKELY. It has scratches, wear and what appears to be ink spots (see photo). It is about 9 inches in diameter with no chips or cracks. The mark on the back dates from the late 1920s.
