CZECH INTAGLIO GLASS BOWL with CHERUBS and ROSES -
This Czechoslovakian Glass Finger Bowl features a pattern of frosted roses on the side and intaglio cut cherubs and vines on the bottom. There are sixteen panels above the roses. It is about 4-7/8 inches in diameter and only has a small surface nick on the top of the rim (see photo).
CZECH SATIN GLASS OVOID VASE BLOWN OUT ROSES ORMOLU -
This beautiful ovoid vase has an in-mold mark on the bottom that reads 'CZECHOSLOVAKIA'. It has brass ormolu mountings on the base and rim. The band around the base is raised on three feet and has a marsh decoration of cranes, turtles, cattails, snakes, fish and water lilies (The ends of the brass feet have been bent upwards over the years but were spayed outward originally.) It is made of crystal glass with a satin glass finish and features a double row of blown-out repeating roses with overlapping leafs around the bottom, all against a textured background. It is about 10-3/8 inches tall and 8 inches in diameter with no chips or cracks. It has a partial foil importer’s sticker below the rim that is difficult to read (see photo). This treatment makes for a very decorative display and is similar to vases made by the Consolidated Glass and Phoenix Glass Companies and would compliment either collection.
