This 1946 Children’s Pop-up Book is from The JOLLY JUMP-UPS Series. The title is Robert Louis Stevenson’s A CHILD’S GARDEN of VERSES by GERALDINE CLYNE. It is marked on the cover PATENT NO. 2,415,501 COPYWRIGHT MCMXLVI BY McLOUGHLIN BROS., INC. SPRINGFIELD, MASSACHUSETTS MADE IN U.S.A. 2951. There are six pages of pop-ups along with 15 verses relating to the various scenes. It is about 10 ½ x 8 ¼ inches and the hard cover has frayed edges and corners. There are only 3 folds that are separated from their back tabs and could easily be repaired. One is the gentleman to the left on the 5th page and the other two are to either side of the girl to the left on the 6th page. For a pop-up of this age, it is in very good condition. The verse titles are P1. THE SWING, MARCHING SONG, MY SHADOW; P2. THE LAND OF COUNTERPANE, TIME TO RISE, BED IN SUMMER; P3. THE LITTLE LAND; P4. WINDY NIGHTS, RAIN, SINGING; P5.
