1930s LADIES ARMADILLO HIDE HANDBAG -
This rare and unusual Vintage Ladies Leather Purse was made from an Armadillo hide with the head and legs mounted on the front. It features red crystal eyes and a turn clasp closure. It is about 10 inches wide and 6-3/4 inches tall. It is missing its original strap and one arm has some cracks. The leather stitching that held the top together and onto the bag is also gone (photo) and the ends of the ears are worn. It could be displayed in a purse collection or restored for use.
