RARE PRATT WARE OBLONG POT LID ALEXANDRA PLACE 1873 -
This ceramic Prattware Pot was made by the English firm of F&R PRATT, a company well known for the collectible Pot Lids used from the 19th Century on condiment containers. The lid on this oblong trefoil container features a colored depiction of The Alexandra Palace in North London before it burned in 1873. It is about 5-3/4 inches long with overall glaze crazing. The rim of the base and the bottom of the lid has chips (see photos), but the top of the lid has no chips or cracks and only very light scratches.
