This Depression era Rolling Pin is made of Milk Glass in which can be seen the swirls between the lighter and darker mixture of the glass (similar to slag glass). The metal handles screw on to threads molded into the glass. One end of the glass is closed and the other open (like a bottle) so that ice could be put inside to keep the pin cold. The end of one handle is dented and there is a chip on the rim of the open end (it is covered when the handle is screwed on). It is about 17 inches long and has no maker’s marks. |
