Meerschaum and Amber Cigar Holder In its original velvet lined leather case this classic holder is a handsome collector’s piece. What makes it special is the beautifully aged paper label on the outside of the case. There is a fine design on the label but no text. The holder itself is 3 inches (8cm) in length. The inside diameter is ½ inch (1.1cm) for a thin cigar. The shaft is in two sections of Meerschaum, the one at the tip is a shade darker. The mouth piece is amber. It is in good condition with no burn marks at all. It’s special.

Justus van Maurik’s Opera Cigar Tin This is a rare and very handsome antique Opera Cigar (cigarillo) litho tin box. On the front is a tobacco leaf with Justus van Maurik’s Opera Cigars printed on it. On the lower right side is a picture of van Maurik himself. It also says "Established in 1749" and "Factories in London and Amsterdam". In addition there is a crest with golden lions. On the inside of the lid it reads "Opera Cigars as supplied to the House of Lords". This cigarillo box is 4 3/8 x 3 3/8 inches and only ½ inches
(1.3cm) deep. It’s condition is very good for it’s age. Justus van Maurik is still today a source for fine tobacco products. This item found in this condition is an important find for collectors.

Antique Max Oettinger Habana Haus Cigar Box This handsome and very old card board cigar box is made to look like a book. On the burgundy red front with scrolly design in black is printed in gold Habana Haus and Max Oettinger. The Oettinger tobacco company was founded in 1875. It later became the Davidoff Group in Basel, Switzerland and later was owned by Dr. Ernst Schnieder. On the inside of the lid is a print or litho of the Eisengasse (street) in Basel where the Habana-Haus was located. The book title is Max Oettinger Werke 2 (second part). There is much gold decor on this. On the back is printed in gold Basel, Eisengasse 12, Zürich Bahnhofstrasse 76 and St. Ludwig Elsass (France). The sides of the book where the pages should be is Victorian muddled paper. The container is 6 ¼ x 4 ¼ inches (18 x 11.2 cm). It’s thickness is 7/8 inch (2 ½ cm). The box is still strong and unbroken but does show it’s age especially on the inside. This item is an interesting addition to a serious collection.

Tin Royal Derby Horse Persimmon 1890's King Edward Vll was a famous patron of horse racing and derby sports. His lovely bay colt named Persimmon won the Derby twice and became world famous. This decorative box is a souvenir of those days. The lid shows Persimmon being rode by a jockey wearing the scarlet sleeves, black cap and gold braid of King Edward. Printed in the lower right corner are the words "Persimmon, winner of the Derby. Owner H.M. King Edward Vll" On the sides are four different scenes of three horses racing and jumping. The trimming is Art Nouveau showing leather and metal saddle findings. The size of the tin is 6x4x4 inches (15x10x10 cm). The condition is fair with some scratches and oxidation. There are no dents and the coloring is a fine and mellow.
This rare find will be a stunning addition to any collection. Overseas postage $12.00

Nestor Gianaclis Queen Litho tin Cigarette Nestor Litho tin Cigarette box
This is a well worn original small Nestor cigarette (25) container. The front shows an attractive Arab scene with gold painted details. On the top of the box are the words Nestor Gianaclis cigatettes Queen, Geneve. On the underside is a picture of the principle factory in Egypt. On the inside of the lid are listed the awards that the tobacco has won from 1865 to 1926. The size is 4 x 1.8 inches (7 x 4.5 cm). This rare find is in a very used condition with no serious dents. It is certainly a handsome addition to any tobaccana collection.
