Vintage Rose Note Pad This is something original. A three inch (8cm) in diameter flat rose made of shaded pink petals. On the back of this are attached 14 rounds of faded pink note paper. The whole length of the flower is 7 inches (17 cm). There are two soft somewhat tattered green paper leaves. This could be Swiss or French. A pretty addition to any ephemera collection. Prince Rainer Royal Wedding Ephemera Decal This is a very attractive paper transfer of the late Prince Rainer and Grace Kelly commemorating their royal wedding in Monaco in 1956. The large brightly colored decal shows the couple under the royal crown with the initials R G (Rainer, Grace) in gold and the title “Principaute De Monaco” underneath. In addition there are two transfer copies of the souvenir postage stamp in a brown sepia tone. The size of the larger transfer is 3 ¼ x3 5/8 inches (8 x 9cm). The stamps are 2 ¼ x 1 ½ inches (5 ¼ x 3 ½ cm) each. The price for all three pieces includes overseas postage.

This cute picture of Shirley Temple must be a page of a book. There is story text on the back of the picture page. It is obviously as early as the 40’s. Shirley is sitting at her dresser seriously considering how she looks in a fancy dress-up hat. The paper of the page is brown and crisp with age, but the colors are good. A small bit of the upper right hand corner of the page is missing. The edges of the page are smooth; it has not been “torn out” of a book. Suitable for framing, this would be a decorative addition to any Shirley Temple collection. The page is 9 ¼ inches (24 cm) wide and 11 ½ inches (29 cm) in height. Vintage Swiss Child's Jig Saw Puzzle In its pretty original box this 60 piece puzzle pictures a cute little girl holding a bouquet of field flowers. The coloring has a fine beige tone with delicate accents.
The backing is clean plywood. At the lower right is printed the name of the artist "Erna Mason" and w. & co.z No. 201. On the top of the box is a round label saying "Penelope Puzzle" Suisse (French) and Schweiz (German) for Switzerland. On one side of the box is a label saying "baby-puzzle 60 teile or morceaux" meaning pieces. The pink and light brown printing all over the outside of the box shows children, rabbits and Easter eggs. Although the box has an Easter motif the picture inside does not. The puzzle is 7 ¾ inches (19.5 cm) by 9 ¾ (25cm) inches. The box is about an inch longer than the puzzle. The condition of the puzzle is very good. There is one tiny edge of paper missing on the sleeve of the girl in the picture but it is not noticeable because the wood underneath is the same color.
This very pretty puzzle will be a fine addition to any collection of Puzzles or Children's toys.The overseas surface postage is $10.00.

 

1908 Calendar with American Indian Chief 1908 Calendar with American Indian Chief Motif
This one hundred year old paper calendar is placed on a roughly cut thin piece of brown leather. The date, border and te-pe decoration are burnt in the leather. At the top is a nice photo or lithograph of a Native American. The calendar is complete and has a little page for each month printed in red. The hole at the top to hang the piece is torn open. The size of the calendar is 7 ½ inches (18cm) by 3 ¼ inches (8.5 cm).
This interesting piece would be a fine addition to a calendar or ethnic collector.

Ornate Swiss Baptism Certificate Dated 1888 This antique christening letter is beautiful ephemera hand work. The top of the envelope is decorated with a fine oval wreath of stiff threads. I am tempted to say it is horse hair but it seems too thin. In the middle is a yellow and white scrap paper flower with deep relief and a satiny surface. There are four tiny gold stars and a little white satin bow too. Inside the envelope is certificate with the name of the baby (Johann Werren) and other details. The date is 22 November 1888. If there is interest I can translate all of the inscriptions. The folded certificate goes into a pretty box with fancy printing on the surface. It translates "Remembrance of the day of Holy Baptism". Attached to the inside is also a small envelope which I assume was for a lock of the baby’s hair. There is some light age marks on the box, but the general condition is good. The box measures 4 5/8 inches (12 cm) x 3 inches (8cm) x ½ inch (1.5 cm). Overseas postage $8.00

At the center of the morning glory are some fine beige stamens. The diameter of the flower is 2 ¾ inches (7cm). The length is 7 inches (17 cm). There are two soft green paper leaves.
