Large Steiff Doe This long legged darling is 15 inches (40cm) high and 11 ½ inches (30 cm) long. The dark brown eyes are glass and his nose is black leather. It is from the 1950-1960s. The gray metal Steiff button is in his left ear but the paper tags are no longer attached. The word Steiff on the button written in script. His head and most of the body are sheared mohair and the back area is fuzzier with white spots. The basic color is a warm beige. His fluffy tail is white. The construction is achieved with the sewing together of many pieces to give the fawn it’s excellent shape. He is in perfect condition but the lighter areas are somewhat dingy from age.
