Designer red silk lace blouse Red silk blouse--Size 12 This Romantic floral lace blouse is from the John Louis Scherrer Boutique, Paris. It is in perfect condition and has never been worn. The deep red shear lace (viscose/nylon) is lined with georgette of the same color. The sleeves are not lined. It is beautifully made with covered buttons and loops. The original price was over $500.00.  

Vintage Swiss Lace Blouse This is a lovely soft white cotton lace blouse made of Swiss Guipure lace. It opens down the front and can also be worn as a jacket. The entire blouse is lace with a heavy flower design on the front and back panels and on the top of the sleeves. There are nine raised daisy like flowers on this rich design. There are scattered leaf designs over the entire blouse. Down the front are 13 little flat pearl buttons (one odd) with loops. I would estimate the size as a stretchable 10 to 12. Length of blouse from shoulder to hem, 20 inches (54 cm). Circumference at bust, 40 inches
( 84 cm). Length from plain round collar to cuff, 20 inches (54 cm). The condition is good with a few unnoticeable mends. From the Guipure lace I would say the age is turn of the Century but the style makes me think it could be somewhat latter. Whatever, it is a lovely wearable vintage lace treasure. Vintage Beaded Leather Wedding shoes These creamy soft natural white leather bridal slippers are the loveliest I have ever seen. They are lined with the finest glove leather and the inner soles are pink satin. There is a partly visible gold printed logo on the lining of one slipper that says "St. Moritz" so I assume they were made or bought in that fashionable Swiss resort. The top front of the shoe is decorated with cut out work surrounded by an Exquisite design made with the tiniest crystal like beads. A feature that certainly makes them a Haut-Couture fashion foot piece is a cord that runs around the inside of the top of the shoe and ties unseen in the front. This addition aids in having a perfect fit.
The slippers are a long and elegant 10 ½ inches (26.5 cm) in length and 2 ½ plus inches wide ( 7 + cm). The heel is 2 inches (5 cm). On the thin leather soles are small incised numbers 5 95 37 5. These collector’s slippers have been worn and their condition shows this but this certainly does not detract from their romantic charm. Overseas postage $18.00

 

Shabby Chic Wax Flower Bridal Head Piece This delicate all wax head piece is quite old. Turn of the Century I would guess. It is mostly made up of sprays of wax buds fixed on a flexible band which can be worn as a head band or a tiara. The band is bond by hand with a gold satin like thread. Every inch or so there is a remnant of a wax flower It fits framing the face with the two little fragile beige silk bows on each side. The length of the band is 14 inches (34cm). The height of the decor 1 ½ inches (3.5 cm). Some of the wax has turned a darker color. It is showing its age which would makes it a romantic addition to a shabby chic wedding ensemble as well as being a collector’s piece.
