Post Card Like Folder from Dixie Land 1920 This is a little post card like accordion folder called "Cotton Souvenir Folder" and entitled "Where Cotton is King". It comes from Spartenburg, South Carolina. There is a 2 cent US Postage stamp on the front that took it all the way to Switzerland! The postmark is dated 1920. There are 16 black Americana photos (not postcards) in two sections. Some of the titles are; "Negro baptism in Dixie Land, A Watermelon Feast, Rastus and Ned, The Blackville Serenade, Uncle Tom". On the inside of the cover are the words to the song "Dixie" are printed in dialect. "To lib and die in Dixie". On the back is a scene of Morgan Square looking East, Spartenburg S.C. At the bottom of this page is the numbers 1885 (date?) Made by Curt Teich, Chicago, Ill. On the front is printed "Published by Southern Post Card Co., Asheville, N.C.
The size is 4 ¼ inches (11cm) by 3 1/8 inches (8cm). I will pay overseas airmail postage.
