This folding pocket knife was especially made to celebrate a Century of the Swiss Army Knife. The dates recorded on the decorative red upper side of the knife are 1897 to 1997. On the other side is the typical Swiss cross and shield inlayed in steel on the red background. Originally the knives were made by a company named Elsener which then became Victorinox. The serial number on the blade is 107767. Incised at the bottom of the large blade are the words "Officier Suisse". There are six attachments; a large and small blade, cork screw, can opener, hole puncher and bottle opener. At the top of the knife is a small ring to attach to a chain or whatever. The length of the closed knife is 3 ½ inches (9 cm). The length of the largest blade is 2 ¾ inches (7 cm). The knife is a bit over ¼ inch (1cm) thick. It comes in a handsome silver colored metal box 8 ½ inches (22cm) in length and 2 ¼ (6cm) wide. This is a fine and meaningful addition to any collection. Overseas surface postage $8.00. Airmail $15.00
