This is a rare and very handsome antique Opera Cigar (cigarillo) litho tin box. On the front is a tobacco leaf with Justus van Maurik’s Opera Cigars printed on it. On the lower right side is a picture of van Maurik himself. It also says "Established in 1749" and "Factories in London and Amsterdam". In addition there is a crest with golden lions. On the inside of the lid it reads "Opera Cigars as supplied to the House of Lords". This cigarillo box is 4 3/8 x 3 3/8 inches and only ½ inches (1.3cm) deep. It’s condition is very good for it’s age. Justus van Maurik is still today a source for fine tobacco products. This item found in this condition is an important find for collectors. Overseas surface postage $8.00, Airmail $18.00. $58.00 Please look on my site in the tobacciana category for other interesting items that may interest you. Thanks
