This is a very collectable Christmas novelty from earlier times. The little cotton net bags were filled with goodies and displayed on the candle lit tree. The composition Father Christmas face attached to the outside of the bag is hand painted and has a white cotton beard. There is a red wool pointed cap with chenille trim and two green chenille leaves. The net bag can be closed with an orange string tie. Although it has never been used there is showing of age abrasions on the face.
The width of the bag is 2 ½ inches (7 cm). The height of the face, beard and cap vary up to 2 ½ inches (6 ½ cm) the little Belsnickle sacs are an original and whimsical addition to any collection.
