This is such a pretty hand made handkerchief case made of padded silk and beautiful ribbon embroidery. The background is a gray green Mornay silk and there are sixteen beige and pink richly made flowers. There are accents of fine oval silver sequins. The inside is a quilted beige silk satin with a gray green cord trim. There are two wide light blue silk satin ribbons to tie it closed, I am not sure if these are original. The condition is good. There are a few sequins missing see photo) and there is some pale staining on the blue ribbons. There are no spots or tears. The closed size is 8x8 inches (20x20 cm) I would guess it was made in the very early 1900’s. This vanity it would make a lovely wedding gift.
