SMU 1950 Rotunda Yearbook Dallas Texas
A 1950 Rotunda yearbook from Southern Methodist University in Dallas, Texas. Several watercolor paintings of various buildings by Sarah Inglish McDonald. Pictures of Bob Hope at a pep rally before a Notre Dam game. The 1950 SMU football team's captain was Doak Walker who went on to play halfback for the Detroit Lions from 1950 to 1955 and had a four-time all-pro and Hall of Fame career. He passed away in 1998 due to complications from a skiing accident, but his legend lives on. The Doak Walker award is presented ach year to the nation's best running back. College Football Hall of Fame - 1959, Pro Football Hall of Fame - 1986, Heisman Trophy - 1948, Maxwell Award - 1947, No. 37 SMU jersey retired, All-America - 1947, 1948, 1949, All-SWC - 1945, 1947, 1948, 1949, Four Time NFL All-Pro. Binding is weak but there is no writing on any of the pages.
