Approximately 85 vintage buttons, averaging from 1/2 inch to 1-1/2 inches in diameter. Included in this assortment are two buttons marked Es Devs Spes Nostra (Latin translation: God Is Our Hope) with the Teutonic eagle. These reproduction buttons resemble those originally worn by Hessian soldiers during the Revolutionary War. Remaining buttons include rhinestone, plastic, and Bakelite styles. Fine condition.
