T24091

Antique M.O.P. Opera Glasses Elite Paris w/ Leather Cas This is a very nice pair of opera glasses, finished in mother-of-pearl and polish brass. This is an antique opera glasses from the early 1900's era, and comes with a leather case that has a good hinged top and push button closure. The case is in good solid condition with some minor wear noted. It has a good blue velour interior, and is black on the outside. We note a few minor stains in the blue velour inside from the points that touch the brass part of the glasses mostly. The case also has a strap on the top lid. The glasses are very clean, nice polished brass with minimal tarnishing, good adjustment thumb wheel to adjust focus, and good clean glass lenses also. The M.O.P. is crack free, very beautiful as each side has 10 segments that wrap all the way around the tapered barrel of the larger section of the glasses. One of the nicer ones we have seen! The lens are about 3X, or good for viewing from about 5 feet away up to about 300 feet. The eye lens covers are marked "THE ELITE PARIS" on each one. Truly a nice antique gift item, particularly for those who go to live plays and operas!
Circa: early 1900's
Condition: Good++
Manufacturer: Elite Paris France
