Green Crock Preserving Jar Great Color
Offering this wonderful old pickling crock / preserving jar in the perfect country cottage - shabby chic green with black banding around top and bottom. Measures 9 1/2 inches tall by 7 1/2 inches in diameter. Applied ear handles. Very good condition, no cracks, a few nicks on inside top rim and one very small chip on bottom underside. No lid. Very light crazing all over and light wear on the black trim; which adds such character. No identifying marks as to maker. Age approximately 1920-40's, could possibly be older, could not find any reference to this color. This is a must have piece for your country primitive, cottage, or shabby chic decor! Tea Set Occupied Japan Calla Lillies 15 PC
Offering this beautiful 1940's hand painted Occupied Japan fine bone china tea set which includes: six demitasse cups, six saucers, covered sugar bowl, creamer, and teapot. Insides are creamy white, outsides are rich aqua teal color with large white calla lillies and green leaves. There is gold highlights on all pieces. Teapot measures 7 inches tall, creamer & sugar are 4 1/2 inches tall. The lids on the sugar bowl and teapot are excellent art deco style. Handles on all cups, teapot, sugar bowl & creamer are white with gold accent lines. Saucers are edged in gold. Marked on bottom Castle China, Occupied Japan. Offering this handsome vintage beer stein done in a soft gray glaze, shield and lion decoration on front and a cobalt blue band around bottom. . Ornate pewter lid with thumb holder. Depicts a city in very nice detail and under reads Munchen. Under lid there is a stamp with a bird in a laurel wreath circle and the words Reichs-Zinn. On the side near the handle is stamped 0.5 L GERZ. Impressed on bottom, West Germany. Measures 5 3/4 inches tall not including top part of handle. Fine condition, no cracks, chips, or dents.
