Celluloid Valentine Card Birds Flowers Never Used Offering this lovely vintage valentine card made of heavy stock ivory paper, floral impressed border; center has an ivory fur like background with three dimensional robins, violets, a fence and lettering To My Valentine. Silk cord runs along spine. Inside is a double page of finer paper with a message "Will you confess? Or must I guess, Thy love I hope is mine, My heart is tru - Beats but for you, My own sweet Valentine." Card measures 8 1/2 inches x 4 inches, very good condition, never signed; small spot near bottom front is missing the fur; back has very minor dark spots and small line crack. Inside pages are clean, one very tiny split on side edge; does not detract. A beautiful old card, circa late 1800's to very early 1900's. A lovely vintage card to give your sweetheart or add to your collection!
