Antique Book - Indians Today For sale is an antique book titled Indians Today. c.1926. By Flora Seymour, published by Benj. H. Sanborn & Co. (No other copyright date in this book). Apparently this was the property of the South Intermediate School. The book has a stamp that says it is no longer the property of S. Intermediate Library. The author was a member of the Board of Indian Commissioners. This book is chock full of condescending language regarding Native Americans, and stereotypes. However, it does has some nice pictures of various Native Americans, e.g., George Gist, Dr. Charles A. Eastman, Chief Joseph, etc. Some are reprints from the Smithsonian, and some are original photos taken by the author's husband George Seymour. Overall the book is in good condition for its age. The hardcover edges are slightly tattered, and there is one page that has some tape on it, and another that has a corner torn off and that's about it.

Vintage Bird Portrait Book For sale is a vintage bird portrait book. c:1934, by the University of Minnesota; University of Minnesota Press; text by Thomas S. Roberts, M.D. Soft cover; 90 full color gorgeous plates/prints depicting groups of birds; all the plates are suitable for framing if desired. The plates are in good condition; binding is okay; some wear on soft cover and some tiny soil spots on some pages, but not on the color plates.

There are 5 soft cover books with vivid coloring. Book 1 is cpr. 1966; has paintings by Harry Anderson, Russel Harlan, Vernon Nye, and various other artists. Book 2 is also 1966. Antique Hendryx Bird Cage For sale is an antique Hendryx bird cage. Cool pagoda style antique bird cage; very decorative! Brass clips to hold the cage onto the base; tin bottom panel, brass hanger on top. Metal tag on front that reads: Hendryx, Made in USA, Reg. US Pat. Off, New Haven, Conn. (note the old state abbreviation). Has green mesh screen around it. Flaws: the bottom part that slides out is scratched and has some rust, but the bottom green base is in good condition. The chrome fender on the pullout tray needs to be soddered or glued back on in one corner, (this is not a noticeable flaw). 'Good overall antique condition'. This cage stands about 18.5 tall x 15 wide across circular top part; bottom part is 12.5 wide. One site says the mark used dates from 1884-1907; can't verify that, but this is an antique cage. You also get the vintage paperback bird book as a free gift, titled: Feathered Pets by Chas N. Page, 1898, 20th edition. Makes a fantastic ecclectic furniture accessory item!
