Winter in Vermont Landscape Paintings - Listed Artist For sale are two Winter in Vermont landscape paintings. 2 paints, one price. Artist: H.F. Kneff of R.O., MI, an artist listed in Davenports. The artist signature is clearly legible. The back of the smaller one reads: Vermont In Winter, and the picture features a yellow house, red barn, wooden fence, tress, and winter scene. The larger picture is titled on backside: Early Winter in Vermont. This one features a horse & sleigh, red barn, houses, trees, hills, and winter scene. I tried to see whether this artist is still living, but he is not listed in the Michigan phone directory, nor did I locate him on-line anywhere. These are 20th Century paintings and both are in good condition. The large one is 15 long x 12 wide; the smaller one is 10 wide x 8.5 long. Oil on artist's board. Exceptional fine art paintings. Vintage Listed Artist George Fletcher Oil Painting For sale is a very nice vintage George Fletcher landscape oil painting. Clearly signed G. Fletcher, and this artist is listed in Davenport's. c: around 1938; on artist board. This painting features a winter forest and stream landscape. The artist is George Fletcher, and his daughter, Donna Seymour, has also verified that this is her father's early work. George Fletcher was a Canadian artist, now deceased. The back of this painting reads: Oil Painting 1938, Purchased in Canada, Jane & Butch, (apparently the people who first purchased this). It has a few small spots on the sky area that have some paint loss. This can be easily repaired, and Ms. Seymour said she does professional restoration, or you can have someone else restore it. Henry Hooper Antique Candle Shield For sale is a gorgeous antique signed oil painted candle shield. Bottom of metal base has incised mark that reads 'OOPER'; lst letter is worn off, but in the photo you can make out an 'H'. (Attributed to Henry N. Hooper, a well-known Boston Mfg. of brass, bronze and metalworks). Painting is signed 'Peterboro'. Stunning fine art, oil painting on board attached to an ormulu base. The painting features a church; windmill, cottage; women and children, etc. Painting has all over striations/crazing. One tiny area appears to be just about ready to flake off, (a professional can correct that very easily). The painting is attached to an ormulu base which has a lever to adjust the shield up or down. In down position this item stands 15.75 tall x 9 wide, (small painting, but truly beautiful!). Candle shields were used to deflect heat away from a person seated near a candle. It is a wonderful, unique item; a work of art for the discriminating consumer! An item you may never come across again in your lifetime. If you need a fabulous furniture accessory, this is it! Vintage Eva Wojnar Oil Painting For sale is a signed vintage oil painting. c:1979. Signed 'E W'. The back has 'Fredrix Canvas Panel', 'Painted by Eva Wojnar, 3-3-79, kids never dispose of this painting' on separate paper it reads: Painting, 'Dr. Ziwago', put away, wrapped 9-7-2000, painted by Eva Wojnar'. Apparently the kids decided to forego the painting. An Eva Wojnar was located on the net as a well-known art director, but she looks a bit young to have painted this in 1979; so she might be the granddaughter of this Eva. It is a really lovely painting; winter scene, horses in motion. Frame is 30 wide x 23 tall; painting is 25.5 wide x 17 tall. It might look even nicer in a large, ornate antique frame. Great oil on board for the winter/holiday season! Check out Doumouchelles auction catalog this month; a very similar Polish painting by Wladyslaw T. Pink Roses Oil Painting For sale is a vintage oil painting featuring pink roses. 5 pink roses and 1 white rose. This painting has some condition problems as you can see from the pics, but I think it is still quite lovely if you're just going to use it in a guest room, shabby chic room, or powder room. No holes or tears, but some worn areas, mostly near the edges, and it needs to be re-stretched, (it has puffy areas). In the frame it is 18 wide x 14 high. I did take it out to look at it to see if it was signed, but no signature. The edges that are wrapped on the back appear quite old however. I also antiqued the frame because it was just a plain old wood frame which did not do much for the picture.

It features a landscape setting with a stream, 2 children and one adult standing near a log in the stream. I did not remove the pic to see if it is signed but it is possible. This painting has some condition problems. The painting is bulging in areas, (from moisture?); it is dirty; and there are 2 visible scratch lines on it. It is 15 wide x 12 tall. The painting on it is really well done despite the flaws, but price is reduced for the flaws. A more ornate frame would really do a lot for this painting.
