Knowles China Co., Made in USA, 35-2, (see mark in Lehner's for a close up). Marked: Melody in gold, #563 0. No chips or cracks and is 9.5 long x 2 tall x 7.5 wide. You also get the matching creamer with this bowl and which is also in good condition! (This pattern was discontinued in 1935).

Lovely vintage plates backstamped in green with the Mayflower symbol: The Edwin M. Knowles China Co., Made in USA, 35-4. No chips or cracks on any of them; some crazing, but no discoloration. These plates feature a beautiful flower bouquet with raised flower border. They are 7.5 wide. They can be used for bread or salad. (This pattern was discontinued in 1935).

Edwin Knowles China Platter and Vegetable Bowl For sale is a vintage Edwin Knowles platter and a vegetable bowl. (2 items, one price = $20/each!). The platter is not marked, however, it matches the bowl which is marked. The mark is shown in Lehner's book of marks, p.237, marks #4-#7. The backstamp reads: Semi Vitreous Edwin M. Knowles China Co. Made in USA 39-8, and gold number 13-9011. The '39' is likely the year mark. The platter is 13 x 10 inches; and the vegetable bowl is 9.5 x 7.5, and no chips or cracks. Edwin Knowles was in business from 1900-1963. (Pattern name is unknown)

Both feature a bouquet of pastel flowers and raised flowered borders. Melody pattern, no chips or cracks. Green backstamp with Mayflower symbol: The Edwin M. Knowles China Co., Made in USA, 35-3, ('35' is likely the actual year of manufacture). The larger platter is 11 long x 8.5 wide; small platter is 8.25 long x 5.75 wide. This is really gorgeous china. Would work well in a shabby chic or cottage setting; or just to use on special occasions like Victorian luncheons! Or, give as a hostess or housewarming gift!

Very pretty platter with older looking backstamp on it: Semi Vitreous inside an urn symbol, Edwin M. Knowles China Co., Made in USA, 44- something. I believe the 44 is the year date, and the next number or letter is probably the plant number. No chips or cracks and is 13.25 long x 10 wide. Great to use, display or give as a gift! (Pattern name unknown, but is compatible w/most vintage china)

Two Edwin Knowles Hand Painted China Plates For sale are two Edwin Knowles hand painted plates. c:1900-1963. (2 for one price = only $15/each!). Two unique plates; they appear to be hand painted and are artist signed. The painting is under the glaze. Both are signed on front: J.W. Backs are stamped with K in a circle, Knowles, then T.M. U.S.A. 51-7, 51-8 on the other one. One features a rooster, other on is a cardinal. These must have been blanks from the Knowles company and someone painted and glazed them. Great to hang on a plate rack in the kitchen! Edwin Knowles China Co. only in business from the time period shown above.
